2015-03-28 21:32:00 | [QUOTE=Lawrence;1219622 Wonder what part of Northland will Winnie move too? must be plenty of things too do there[/QUOTE] Russell, where he chose his photo op in front of the Duke of Malborough hotel? Paihia or Kerikeri? I can't see him moving to the less affluent areas of Kawakawa, Moerewa, Kaikohe. Or into any of the appalling derelict dwellings inland to the west of SH1 where many of his constituents call home. Homes with boarded up windows, dirt floors. If Winston really has the welfare of his constituents at heart then let him start by changing their mind set. There is more to existence than falling down shacks, albeit with big screen TVs, and the attraction of Kaikohe, a local big smoke. My lasting recollection of Kaikohe from 10 years ago was wall to wall fast food take away bars providing the populace with fish and chips, sausages, from breakfast until the pub shuts (a bit of licence here). There was one Subway there, but was doing a poor trade. Northland deserves more than being used as a political football at the hands of Peters, Key, Little. Let them sort out the poverty first. :angry

2015-03-28 21:41:00 | Big Deal. To answer a question with a question is the coward's way out.Are you a complete fool or are parts missing ?? Try rereading the post I ASKED YOU Care to explain why the sudden big turn around ? not the other way around. I also DID answer your statement, which as per usual you have chosen to ignore. Well it appears to the people of Northland a lot more than the National candidate / Party. Maybe you should go back to school and learn how to read. Either way Winston has been a thorn in Keys side for years -- NOW hes going to be even more so. The only time National was even interested is when they saw they could lose it. Even Nationals Own Original MP was annoyed at being ignored by his own leaders.

2015-03-28 22:29:00 | Winston 4000+ votes ahead!!I reckon we oughta send a sympathy card to Prefect? :D The rot has set in, and the poor bloke must be damned near heartbroken. The dream of seeing Kim John Key leading a dynastic party to victory yet gain is now crumbling before his very eyes.Like the Ford Prefect, which had a finite life and needed service at 1,500 km intervals, JK's government now needs major work.CheersBilly 8-{) :DHis favorite blogger got knocked as well last night | plod (107) | |
2015-03-28 22:33:00 | The reason the big turn around is that Northland is mostly poor that never bothered to vote before giving it an easy national seat. The obviously woke up and decided to vote | plod (107) | |
2015-03-28 22:51:00 | Your ignorance is showing, Boyo :( Hardly, I answered your question you asked, yet you still seem not to see it. SO I'll quote and re post Again, cant make it any simpler: :) YOU said --- But in reality, WTF does Winston have to offer anyone in New Zealand? And I replied. Well it appears to the people of Northland a lot more than the National candidate / Party. I then asked you Care to explain why the sudden big turn around ? And all you are coming back with is I didn't answer. Its you that showing Your ignorance. Edited: Plod is the one who actually gave a good answer to that question just now

2015-03-28 22:57:00 | The bit that gets me is that after the election last September you couldnt hear yourself think for the fanfare of Trumpets and grandiose descriptions of the magnitude of the National victory . 6 Months later they lose ONE seat and will have to go cap in hand to the other partys to be able to govern . I know people are gullible, but I think most of the Media actually believed the rubbish they were presenting . But Ill bet you, Key winds up regretting the day he made an enemy out of Winston, who I think is the most experienced member in the House going back some 37 years, which fits the Old Dog for the Hard Road scenario . ;)

2015-03-29 00:50:00 | But in reality, WTF does Winston have to offer anyone in New Zealand? :( I think it was more a vote against the other 2. Well, he has a mouth....um, his ability to make any meaningful changes now? Pretty slim I'd say.
