1396955 2015-03-24 09:01:00 Plasma gave better picture quality in my views, a lot of the newer TVs seemed too sharp making appearance of objects seem 2D.

I bought a Veon TV from the warehouse, it was just a replacement for my computer monitor but so far happy with it. Made sure I stood there and watched whatever movie they were playing to see picture quality.

Now a lot of people will put it down, but really its LG in sheep clothing and they maybe cutting corners a little. I wouldn't be surprised if other manufacturers have also hidden behind Veon as I know other brands the warehouse had, were also sheep clothing for other things but they always do this for The Warehouse because of their reputation to make products come off cheap and rubbish but where I live, I am not spoilt with many choices.

Cheers,

KK

1396956 2015-03-24 09:18:00 I had a wander round Harvey Norman this arvo, and apart from being well ignored by the staff, I found it very difficult to evaluate the various sets when they are so packed together that you can't get a decent distance from them to see them properly. There were certainly differences discernible in picture quality but I didn't get a chance to get really up close and personal with them. One thing I did notice was that they all had a much smaller bezel than my current 32" Samsung, which means I may be able yo go a bit bigger than my 42" estimate. Unfortunately I didn't have a tape with me so I couldn't measure the widths. I reckon I can get in a set of just over 42" width (not diagonal). Tony (4941)

1396959 2015-03-25 14:15:00 Wait for a newer model that supports Freeview Plus. They will be integrating the on demand services from TV3, Maori TVNZ into the epg and you will be able to simply scroll through the EPG and directly watch prograaming from ondemand. apsattv (7406)
