1407046 2015-08-19 06:00:00 I have an HP Spectre laptop running W 8.1 - it doesn't have a CD/DVD player - I have some DVDs I would like to watch on this laptop - suggestions for the best hardware please? TIA Bryden Bryden (4161)
1407047 2015-08-19 06:52:00 An external DVD drive would be the way to go. Just make sure you have the software too ;) pcuser42 (130)

1407050 2015-08-21 01:55:00 This (www.videolan.org) but if its a dvd you'll still need a dvd player to play it

Potplayer (http://potplayer.daum.net/) will probably play it as well

1407051 2015-08-21 10:15:00 I bought a Remote DVD player for USB connection to laptop.

Caution. Initially I bought a cable with only 1 USB Input connection. That did not work properly- underpowered..
I then exchanged it for a cable with 2 USB input connections and that worked fine.
