| 485210 | 2006-09-16 23:13:00 | I am using Windows Movie Maker to edit video from my Sony Digital 8 camera. I want to burn the edited movie to DVD using Nero but it does not recognise WMV files. I checked WMV to AVI converters on the internet but would like suggestions on which converters you recommend and any other tips on burning to DVD. Set up is Athlon 4000/1gb RAM/300gb HDD/NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS/Realtec Ac97 Audio/Windows XP Home Edition/Pioneer 111 DVD burner/Nero 6 OEM |

| 485212 | 2006-09-16 23:34:00 | I recommend MediaCoder (http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net) - a free, open-source transcoder that can handle almost any filetype. The configuration used to be quite hard to use, but it's had a big overhaul in recent weeks - it's a lot easier to use now. | Erayd (23) | ||

BUT, some options in Nerovision needs a serial/plugin, which arent free. Nerovision will convert it to DVD format, once its burned to DVD. (Thats if u select the DVD option). |
