| 485243 | 2006-09-17 08:06:00 | Codec and WMP have me puzzled - what are they? it belongs to a family member who has the crazy idea that computers are here to serve her and be useful not need constant attention. A codec is a piece of software used to explain to the player what type of format the media is in and how to correctly play it. WMP is Windows Media PLayer. Microsofts program for playing various types of media. This family member will soon learn she has been mistaken and this may be the desired idea but is sure not reality. |
