It sounds like you have the same setup which I had before I set up the wireless network. I bought a wireless access point and ethernet switch (the modem didn't have enough network connections). The modem is connected to the switch, as is the pc without wifi. The wifi access point also connects to the switch. Since the original PC is a desktop, it doesn't need wifi capability as it sits next to the modem.
Maybe this is suitable for your setup, otherwise you need another wifi network card and wireless modem. |
