485819 2006-09-20 01:56:00 When trying to intall Dreamweaver 8 or any macromedia studio 8 product I get the following error "The System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" I am running XP home. Any suggestions? jimmeh (11168)

Is this your computer
does your user account have the rights to install programs
have you successfully installed programs in the past using this account


If worst comes to worst you could always put it (macromedia Studio) back in the box along with the serial and send it to me as a free gift :D

485824 2006-09-20 03:12:00 When you open the cd/dvd in windows explorer (and can see the files) you need to right click on the name of the dreamweaver executable file called Dreamweaver8-en.exe? the second command down on the menu that appears should be run as

I don't have XP home, but that is where it is on XP Professional so it should be the same

485825 2006-09-20 22:19:00 Thanks for the help but I tried everything and it didnt work.... I tried installing on a differnt computer and it worked so its something wrong with my rights/policies jimmeh (11168)
