| 485758 | 2006-09-19 11:03:00 | Dear all My machine is running XP Pro SP2. I have a USB storage drive which I have have had running with a mapped a drive just fine. I moved it from the USB connection at the front to the rear, with "safely remove hardware". No message comes up when I plug it in again, and the drive letter is gone. In Computer management I can see USB mass storage device listed under Device manager but not under Removable storage. The properties show that it is running correctly. I know I have managed this problem before .... but have now hunted hours for the solution. Could someone help? Thanks - Helga |
