485446 2006-09-18 07:10:00 Hi I am trying to put music on to my Sanyo 9000. How do I do it. I have a data cable that came with my phone. when I plug the phone in it comes up as another drive, and i can put the sons into the folder but nothing comes up. Do I have to put the songs in MP3 format for it to work. and do you know of a program that i can put some ring tone onto my phone. I got a cd full of different ringtones, they are in MID format. it is designed for mobiles. the guy says that i need a program to put them on to the phone but he doesn't know what program.

Thanks

485447 2006-09-18 07:26:00 hey! i have the same phone and its a breeze to put them on the phone, connect the cable and put the songs in the "media" folder then you should be able to access them. it needs to create the folders first thought thats what i remember. when i first connected it, it didnt show the separate folders , so i disconnected from the pc, had a fiddle (cant remember exactly what i did) and the next time i connected the phone the pc, the separate folders showed. Then you access them via "media player" and then "minisd" then youll see the songs and be able to play them, i also have music videos etc in it as well. as for the ringtones thats a bit more difficult, you need a program to convert to mp4 format, upload it via a website from the pc and then download it from your phone's browser. you have to pay for it as well . too much work unless someone else has an easier solution

cheers

485448 2006-09-18 08:01:00 Hi heard that there is a program that allows you to go into the phone and add the ringtones?

Also does the music need to be in MP3 Format? I tried to put the music in the media folder, but it wouldn't work. the music that i want to put on I listen to on the computer using Windows Media Player from Cd's that i loaded on to the Computer
