| 485614 | 2006-10-09 03:31:00 | Vista RC2 has been releaced... see here (blogs.technet.com) As far as RC1 goes, I am very happy with it, like the eye candy but then I am running it at full with no performance loss :D. So far most (95%) of apps work easily and only 3 crashes... but two of them were due to me :xmouth: :p I am going to run Vista as my main soon :D Thanks for that. I downloaded it and no problems other than that some software it said wouldn't work doesn't. Strangely enough two of the applications areIntelliType and IntelliPoint both by Microsoft! |

I should *hopefully* be getting RC2 tomorrow, that is if a friend downloads it and brings it to school tomorrow :D downloading two Vista ISOs kinda impacts on the monthly cap :p Ha ha, that is M$ for you... :groan: But I had to boot into XP this morning (after using Vista for two weeks) and was surprised... just how slow XP was at booting and generally running :yuck: Vista for me :D |

If anyone downloaded it in this time, are you able to get it onto a server or to someone who has? so others can get it :) |

If anybody else wants it, it'll be international bandwidth, but you'll be getting it, and Ive maxed my 2mbps connection from the server before, so it should be good :D Just waiting for it to finish so I can confirm the MD5 hashes. How long does Vista RC2 last per-install before it expires? I will have: vista_5744.16384.061003-1945_x86fre_client-lrmcfre_en_dvd.iso Search for it on Google and all links are expires redirects to Microsoft, SUCH a pain! Anyways, its currently coming at 148K/s so shouldnt be too long. Im gonna go get a haircut then come back with the results :) |

| 485622 | 2006-10-16 09:50:00 | Just an update on RC2, Chilling_Silence is uploading it to a server, should be ready to go tomorrow, if you want a copy PM either him or me (must have atleast 150+ posts to qualify) and we will give you the link, the server will allow 5 connections per IP meaning you can use something like Getright with multiple segments to max your connection. | The_End_Of_Reality (334) | ||
