485680 2006-09-19 01:23:00 Is it possible to format cells in Excel in such a way as to be able to use paragraphs within a cell?

485681 2006-09-19 02:33:00 Use a text box (from the drawing toolbar I believe). TGoddard (7263)

All the work I have done with Excel and I never knew you could do that. And it works a treat!

Thanks you to TGoddard and to Parry for the same suggestion.

485683 2006-09-21 19:56:00 Hi Graham, if your meaning just putting lines in a cell then hold down ALT & ENTER to insert a line.

To add the textbox automatically to the activesheet then use something like this where you are aligning the top left part of the textbox to cell D5. Change the values of 100 & 50 to make the box bigger or smaller as required.

If Application.CommandBars("Drawing").Visible <> True Then
Application.CommandBars("Drawing").Visible = True
End If

ActiveSheet.Shapes.AddTextbox(msoTextOrientationHo rizontal, _
Range("D5").Left, Range("D5").Top, 100, 50).Select
