486129 2006-09-27 05:53:00 If your on a budget then spending that much on a case is insane. Ive said it before and i'll say it again, whats inside the case is far far more important than whats on the outside. I reckonmend buying a cheap case off trademe etc and then putting in a decent brand PSU, realistically unless your planning on an insane RAID array or SLI then 450w should be ample. Just remember a quality brand 450w PSU is supperior to a crap brand 550w PSU.

If youve decided that you want to spend your money on a PC, then do it! There are heaps and heaps of review sites out there for components, so find something you like and then google it to find out if its crap.

Should I wait for Core 2 Quad processor? Or new AMD processors from AMD?

Hmm, it doesn't looks so good. Looks like I need to hold back now or lose my money for nothing. I mean new four core chips can handle much more than you think. Just read the news articles about the new processor chips.

Irrelevant of when you build a new PC there are always going to be new technologies around the corner that promise to make todays current tech obsolete.

Intels Core 2 Duos are currently the best CPUs on the market, so find one that suits your budget, match it with a motherboard and GPU that matches your budget and stop asking stupid questions.
