| 485934 | 2006-09-21 08:09:00 | Yes, you are right. Lenove is called Legend (LianXiang) in China. It is the best national brand in Mainland China. Its prices in China are reasonablly cheap, in some Chinese cities, if you buy their computer, you get free printer, free computer training, free troubleshooting (come to your house) and the prices are still far below overseas brands. There are some problems with it too, e.g. it was found putting desktop CPU's in laptops.??? Are you sure? What about IBM ThinkPads? Desktop CPUs? What about this notebook? www-604.ibm.com Desktop CPU? |

I read that from some Chinese computer magzines before I came to NZ. It was some years ago and only with one model (and of course the magzines can be lying, but those articles harmed Legend's reputation). Taking IBM's laptop and PC business was only a couple of years ago, these products are now Legend's high end products. I like Legend, China is proud of it. Legend is a good option for Chinese people (esp when we needed to work for half a year to buy a computer, Legend saved us a lot of money). |

Come on can you tell me about Lenovo N1000, is it using desktop CPU? And are you really Chinese? By the way Lenovo is run by the Chinese government organisation anyway, in western world it means just like a subsidy or something for selling it cheap. But instead of subsidising the PC producers the government make their own computers, which cost cheaper, for the public, right? Am I wrong? |

Yes, I am a real Chinese, I can read your personal message which says "fast". In the original post, I used the word "was", not "is", and I said the magazines I read could be wrong. | 485943 | 2006-09-21 09:51:00 | lol you mean overpriced, no not in the same leauge :) They certainly aren't overpriced, Legend are always in the cheaper range. And as I said they have a 2yr warranty - more than most graphics cards. |
