486726 2006-09-23 04:34:00 We have the Sims 2 PC game with Nightlife expansion pack ,is there any way to copy the "working" CD to the hard drive to stop accidental damage when the kids take it in and out of the Cd try.
I have tried to copy the CD so we keep the origanal but havent been able to do this any ideas why?

Because the game manufacturers think you will copy it for naughty piracy purposes so put copy protection on it so you can't.

486728 2006-09-23 04:53:00 Copy protection on the CD will prevent you from copying it with a standard program; eg: nero or roxio easy CD creator.

A program such as Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools should do what you want, but I suggest you refer to a forum on this topic eg: http://club.cdfreaks.com/

486729 2006-09-23 05:46:00 the night life game has safedisk 2/3 copy protection, i tried to used a burned copy so i could keep the orginal intact, it installed okay but it will refuse to play until u put the legit cd in. only way around i guess would be a non-legit way......... aidanmaz (7180)
