| 486636 | 2006-09-22 05:22:00 | My Deskjet 5550 printer has recently developed this problem: When I click print button, a pop-up balloon message says something like this: "This document failed to print ... Click here to open the print queue ..." But, it only pause a littlle and printing continues as usual, no problem. The pop-up error message is annoying, otherwise, everything is OK. Have uninstalled the re installed the printer driver software but it doesn't help. Any suggestions? Cheers |

| 486637 | 2006-09-22 11:04:00 | I have the same printer and although it has occasionally given me grief I haven't experienced the problem you have struck, but when I have had to uninstall the drivers,I always check C drive under Programme Files to make sure all references to the printer have been deleted ( if not I delete).Run a regcleaner,to clean any registry entries that may still be there and if particulary stuborn cases I will manually check the registy (very carefully) for any registry entries relating to HP,that may still be lerking and delete (probably in 'local machine > software').Please don't fiddle with the registry if don't feel confident to do so.Just a final thought,if you are running XP have you tried System Restore?Maybe try the HP site FAQ section.Good luck in you search for the answer. cheers ruup |
