486509 2006-09-21 22:43:00 Is anybody using "go1984" (as a surveillance system)? I'm using it with a PCI tv capture card and i have done some tests trying to capture from its tv tuner.
I need to know how could i capture with a framerate different but 10 fps, i think i need 25 fps.
When i change it here video/video capture pin/frame rate/ , it has no effect. After it starts capture it resets to 10 fps.

Another question, can i set my wished capture codec and how?

Ive not used it in a while, but IIRC you should be able to with webcams, but Im not 100% sure about Capture cards. Why do you need more than 10fps anyways for surveillance?

The version I used only allowed me to capture as jpg's and have them played back using the internal picture browser in a rolling form...

Have you tried the universal driver they suggest on the website:
go1984.com

Stu, being bumped after 6 hours is a little excessive dont you think?

>>>i think i used it

I'm using Version 3.0.5.8 - 30 days trial, and it allows me to record in a proprietary format, after that only if i need to watch it, save each movie as i need coded. Rather dificult this way.
Version 3.0.5.8 has the framerate setting so it is likely using it.

>>>besides surveillance i also need watching videous as well as it's possible.
It is said go1984 is a very good program and i like its unic i can say features so i'd like use it. It is right it works as well with aither usb cameras or capture cards. Now i'll try again and see what fps i reach with an usb cam, although i need it from a normal camera, at high resolutions, which works well, 765/576 no problem.
