I was using the computer management console and clicked on a partition to make it active, and it changed to saying active, but the 3 partitions next to it suddenly turned into a big lump of free space, no warnings nothing (odd for mS)

Since this happened I havent touched anything to do with drive management or the effected drives (this was on my second hard drive)

Help because i have around 60Gb of data on those partitions

Cheers

485968 2006-09-20 21:44:00 if the data is critical dont do anything more to that disk, contact a data recovery company

if not so critical try a linux live distro see if the data is intact

485971 2006-09-21 03:15:00 At this rate you'll soon get yourself a whole new drive. Maybe even a sparkly new graphics card thrown in! :D Greg (193)

485973 2006-09-21 11:09:00 Hmmm a new graphics card would be a handy find, as well as some more ram and DVD drive and a new house and car, but well all i've got is 7Gbs strange but true

I have a feeling it may have been a QNX partition that got wiped, but thats no great loss
