| 487210 | 2006-09-25 09:29:00 | Hi guys, I would say that very few people had a crazy case like me. One day I formated my HDD and installed Window 98 in my computer. When I was in DOS, the strange things appeared was that instead of ":" after C: it appeared "CÖ" so it made me very hard to complete the installation. However it finished but every time I installed a new software, the wizad usually appeared a German first and then the Engilsh words replaced. For exemple it appeared "Wei.." then "Next". It is not big problem for me as this is not frequently used but the botton "2 and @" can only type "2" but "@" is a German word (I have to use symbol function for inserting "@" in). There would be more crazy buttons but I am not patient enough to check all the key board. I already entered BIOS setup and set the language in the English position but nothing changed. I don't know why and how to fix it up. My computer uses Intel 845GBV Motherboard, CPU Intel. Thank you for your help. |

Simply double-click on the Keyboard icon in Control Panel, and click on the Language tab - is this set to English(US) ? |
