| 487042 | 2006-09-24 16:35:00 | Read the install instructions first . . . . (oh yeah! the instructions! . . . not a guy thing!) Some printers require they are wired-up and then you use the install cd, others the sequence is the other way around . I believe that most USB types require the cable installed somewhere in the middle of the software installation . . . this is so on my Epson AIO, but my Canons are totally different . Some using the printer port will not tolerate any physical installation until the whole cd-rom is run, installed and registered . I do not recommend allowing the wizard to install the drivers . . . just X out of the wiz when he shows up and continue with the cd-rom install . BTW: if you DO allow the wiz to find and install the drives, DO NOT click off the pop-up bubble that shows in the right lower corner . . . It will go away all by itself; I have at times clicked it off and messed up the install . |

| 487043 | 2006-09-24 20:09:00 | Hi, Welcome to PressF1 Try starting the RPC server service. Go to Control Panel > Admin Tools > Services. Look for the RPC Server and double click on it. Make sure it has been started and also set to start automatically. Let us know how you get on. |
