| 487240 | 2006-09-26 00:37:00 | Well i guess the unlimited plan is better than nothing. So i read the fair use policy and it says u can't download more than 700MB between 4pm and midnight. This means u can download as much as you want(more than 700MB) between 12am-4pm. That's pretty cool.before u go to school just put on some downloads and stop them at 4pm when u get home. |

Think this is great news . . . And think it is fair that you cannot download anymore than 700MB between 4pm & 12am . . But are you able to provide link to telecom "fair use policy" would be interested in reading it myself . |

| 487246 | 2006-09-26 02:38:00 | I moved to the 3.5 plan from 2mb, however the speed never changed really and mostly is arounf 1.8mb. I'm hoping full speed accross the exchanges will release better speeds to my line. If it dont, then i guess I'll have to settle for unlimited data! Perhaps you are like me and your copper line is connected to a local box with a Conklin and from there to the exchange via fibre optic. After a lot of toing and froing Telecom finally admitted to me that people like me would NEVER get more than 2mb due to the backhaul limitations of the Conklin itself. When these were introduced about 3 years ago it because they were a chaep solution. It is only when/if/whenever these are ugraded that you will get the speeds now potentially on offer. Rob |

| 487247 | 2006-09-26 02:58:00 | What does the exchange look like, I have a chrome topped clyinder at my front gate? Here is a picture of an older exchange in Wellington. Newer ones tend to be smaller, but most are still in the older larger buildings designed to house electro-mechanical exchange equipment of the day. www.wcl.govt.nz |
