486887 2006-09-23 22:58:00 sorry for the noob sounding questiong, but where can i acces my pc's BIOS?

It may tell u when u boot the computer up, down the bottom, of the screen.

It may say something like press (key) to enter setup.

On most computers u press the Delete key. Others u press F1, F2, F10, or Alt/F2, or Ctrl/F1 or F2

Depending on the brand of computer.

486888 2006-09-23 23:49:00 The 1st HDD ( The original one ) is already set to primary master. the 2nd HDD was already set to Primary Slave. it says it in my first post. Motokid600 (11183)
486889 2006-09-24 00:20:00 Anyone? Motokid600 (11183)
486890 2006-09-24 00:31:00 So is this a typo then?

Auto-Detecting Pri Slave...IDE hard Disk
Auto-Detecting Pri Slave...ATAPI CD-ROM ?

Both of these cant be on Primary slave.

Yup but is the slave (2nd hdd) jumpered to SLAVE. NOT Master?

If they're both on Master, they'll conflict.

486891 2006-09-24 01:05:00 Omg, im sorry. that is a typo.

it should say

Auto-Detecting Pri Master..IDE hard Disk
Auto-Detecting Pri Slave...IDE hard disk
Auto-Detecting Sec Slave...ATAPI CD-ROM ( that the correct one )

486892 2006-09-24 01:11:00 Wonder if the XBox screwed it up??

Was there any data on it, while it was connected to the XBox?

And was it working properly then?

486893 2006-09-24 01:39:00 Well, yea it has All the files on it for an xbox to work. c,d,e, drive. I can hook it back up to the xbox and format each partition. this will delete the data in each drive. so if i did that wil it work then? Motokid600 (11183)
486894 2006-09-24 01:42:00 when you start up, usually you press the DEL key to 'enter setup' which takes you to the BIOS menu. Fidelius (10676)

I would give that a try. Delete all partitions if u can. XP can recreate them if u want more than 1 partition.

No harming in trying it.

486896 2006-09-24 02:11:00 damn! the drives were blank to begin with, but what i didnt do it aculy delete the drives them selves. How would i delete all the drives ( c,d,e,f,z,x ) on the hdd? the xbox doesnt allow me to do that...

O and i cant get to the ," enter setup" screen on my pc. My pc is werid when it boots up. what it does is it gives me 2 Operating Systems to choose. i choose xp and it bootsd it up. it never gives me a chance to enter the setup menu or anything...but i dont have to get to the BIOS if the hdds are already set at what there suppose to be...
