| 487465 | 2006-09-26 06:37:00 | Having recently installed Windows XP & PC-cillin, I have been regularly getting a pop-up message about DSSAGENT being detected. I have learned this is spyware from Broderbund. We run Print Shop 10, which is a Broderbund product, & until this new installation, we had not had these messages before. We have also run AVG which detected & supposedly quarantined it, but it didn't go away. After a bit of research, we were directed to disable it in the start up menu, & it has not reappeared in the last couple of days. However, I understand it can be uninstalled at source, which is by far preferable, but I do not know how to do this. As the product has been superseded by newer versions, I am not sure on-line help from Broderbund is available any longer. Can any one help? |

See if Spybot (www.spybot.info) finds the files and removes it. (Get the detection updates as well). Install both and do a scan. And get Adaware Personal (www.lavasoftusa.com) And do a scan as well. |
