| 487502 | 2006-09-26 10:17:00 | This is a new member - first time questioner with problem of two parts that I can't solve. I'm using Windows XP Home and Outlook Express. I need know how I can (a) open an email attachment sent to me in M/Soft Excel format (as an attachment) when I do not have M/Soft Excel installed on my P.C. And (b) If I had Excel installed on my computer and could open an email attachment in Excel format - how could I resend that email attachment to someone who did not have Excel installed. If there is a way - perhaps now is a good time to check - will the way to do it be the same if the system (either end) was Windows XP Pro rather than the 'Home" edition? Here's hoping. Cheers. | 487505 | 2006-09-26 10:33:00 | If you get OpenOffice.org (guess the site address) you can open Excel files. The only catch is it's about 100MB to download. From that you could also turn them into PDFs. | TGoddard (7263) | ||
