| 488452 | 2006-10-01 09:28:00 | Hi guys I have a system here that is randomly rebooting. I will list specs: Enermax Noisetaker 485W PSU 2x512mb DDR PC3200 Intel 3.0Ghz Socket 478 Unknown Foxconn Motherboard PCI IDE/SATA RAID controller AGP8X GeForce MX440 PCI Gigabit NIC History: Bought the PC Early this year, and it had a fresh copy of windows on it. (So I was told) It randomly rebooted sometimes, and I eventually reloaded it. It got worse, but settled down as I used it more. Has not been an issue over the winter. About midyear the 300w Hyena PSU pooped out so I replaced with the Enermax A few days ago it has started to reboot up to a dozen times or more a day. I removed the HSF assemble and cleaned the dust, thermal paste etc, and remounted that. CPU temps dropped to 39deg C, but still the reboot issue remains. Does this sound like a mobo problem? Any help/suggestions/questions are welcome. Brendon |
