| 488394 | 2006-10-01 03:01:00 | As the title says. Will burn CD-RW fine. Put in a DVD to play and all fine. Try to burn a DVD + - RW/R and crashes the whole PC until either the CD tray is opened or a reboot. Drive shows fine in Device Manager. Have uninstalled all burning software and have Nero Suit installed. Reconises the drive fine. I think the drive might be USB 2 so might have something to do with it. My main thought is a combatibilty issue with Win Me. It is a dog of an OS! Have checked for Spyware etc and nothing to report. Recently formatted. Drive works fine in an XP box. Cheers |
