488361 2006-09-30 19:56:00 I have 2 lists down the left side 1 is Pop.ISP with inbox, drafts, templates, sent, junk, trash. Underneath is Local Folders with inbox, unsent messages, drafts, templates, sent, junk, trash.
Which list should I be using & how to remove the other list?
I really like the message filters that it has compared to OE.
Thanks Pauline.

488362 2006-09-30 22:30:00 I am surprised you have not had a reply but on the other hand I can not fully understand your problem.I have tried TB and can not get the view I think you are describing others may also not be sure.A screen shot would be helpful kjaada (253)
488363 2006-09-30 22:55:00 Pauline, what you are describing is the standard Netscape/Mozilla setup for Mail, suggest you do not delete anything, use the programme and read the Help, basically the top list is the Home Account and the bottom list Local Folders. The Home (Pop.ISP) is used with incoming and outgoing E Mail and the Local Folder to remove and file mail from the Home Account to keep your Home inbox etc manageable. You can create Folders for each subject in the Local Folder to keep track of your mail. FrankS (257)

It can be used that way but you can setup sub folders on all of your Home Account folders such as inbox etc if you want to without doing it in Local Folders.

Local Folders are there if you want to setup a Global Inbox. If you have more than one ISP mail account you can select Global Inbox in Account Settings/Server settings/Advanced and mail for all accounts will come into the one Inbox. Local folders are also used if you are using IMAP for storing mail locally.

I don't think you can remove them once they have been created.
When you first setup the account you have the option to select Global Inbox or not.

488365 2006-10-01 00:55:00 When the account was set up there would have been a check box saying "Use global inbox". This is checked by default but if unchecked it creates a separate set for the new account. This sounds like what has happened in your case. You want to use the Pop.ISP ones. The "Local Folders" one can't be removed. TGoddard (7263)
488366 2006-10-01 03:07:00 In the junk mail controls it gives me the option to use either Local Folders or Pop.ISP ones.
Mail seems to use the ISP option even though Local Folders is showing in the filters.
If I knew how to do a screenshhot & get it here I could show you.
