488245 2006-09-30 03:53:00 Hi everyone, a relative of mine has an old HP522a ( 1.7Ghz celeron, 512 pc2100 ram)
The onboard graphics died so its currently borrowing my old tnt32mb pci card.
He wants to upgrade it with a new card (Powercolor ATI Radeon 9250 PCI (240/400MHz) 128M 64-bit DDR)
Told him money would be better spent on a whole new box but the budget wont allow that.
To that end will this card work with the current system?
Any and all feedback appreciated.
Cheers,

488246 2006-09-30 03:57:00 Should work if there's a PCI slot on the mobo.

The same thing happened on a Packard Bell system, I fixed.

The onboard card died.

Just replaced it with a 64mb nvidia card, it works fine.

488248 2006-09-30 04:17:00 If he's using it for internet, word processing etc then thats fine.
Seeing as he wants to shoot germans, then ditch it and get a decent gaming computer.
