488960 2006-10-03 19:56:00 Does anyone know how to get rm files (real player) to play on Windows media player. I have heard that it can be done.
Alternatively is there anywhere one can buy real media player outright rather than having to pay 6 US bucks a month for it?
Thanks

488962 2006-10-03 20:37:00 You could use Real Alternative? Not sure if it works with WMP but i know it definately works with MPC.

Have a look here (www.codecguide.com)

488963 2006-10-03 21:14:00 Yeap, Real Alternative LITE simply installs the Real Splitter (codec) that lets you watch real medias on WMP. If you chose the basic version, then it comes with Media Player Classic which looks ugly. Otherwise, you can just download Media Player Classic and watch real medias without even installing Real Alternative.

Download Real Alternative here (www.free-codecs.com)
