488670 2006-10-02 23:43:00 I'm very new to burning a DVD and I'm not learning very fast.

I am usinf "Imation" DVD-RW" disks and Nero 6.

I got one file on to the disk using the "send to" command.

But I can't get any more to burn. I get the message. Either "no disk in drive D" or else "the disk in Drive D: is not blank. Please insert blank disk"

All I am trying to do is save backups of files and programs, some zipped.

488671 2006-10-02 23:46:00 Another reason why I hate Nero...I get the same error messages all the time and use a different program alltogether.

DVD Shrink is my favorite and not so apt to forget my hardware situation and make me angry.

...you better get DVD Shrink (http://www.dvdshrink.org/) before it is gone....I hear there are people who don't want it to be used.

488672 2006-10-03 00:27:00 Have you installed Nero InCD? You need that to use RW discs. CYaBro (73)
488673 2006-10-03 00:44:00 I thought Nero got rid of InCD as it corrupted the windows shell. SolMiester (139)
488674 2006-10-03 03:14:00 No it's still available as part of their V7 update. CYaBro (73)
488675 2006-10-03 03:40:00 The send to option wasnt made for sending to DVD's . Or sending to Nero .

It was made for programs like INCD, DirectCD .

If u want to burn DVD's use Nerovision, a Ulead program, or that cdburnerxp program . Or a program that says it burns to DVD .

Depending on what kind of files you're sending to DVD, dont assume by sending MPEGS/video files directly to a DVD, it'll work . It wont if you want to play it in a standalone DVD player . You need a program, that'll convert it into a DVD format . So a DVD can read it .

If u want to add files use Nero Express / data / data disc . And add files, and keep it open .
