Perhaps what your teacher was trying to impart was the horrendous depreciation of all new vehicles. With a prestige marque, you are indeed chewing through a small fortune just driving out of the yard, and years 2 and 3 aren't much better. But High initial depreciation doesn't neccessarily mean you can extrapolate that to a value of $0 after x number of years except in a bookkeeping sense. Not for cars or computers. This thread should now mebbe get back on topic or die a natural death :) I'll just add the Mac F1 is my favorite car, regardless of what has come since. McLaren F1? I know it's legendary power and it is still the unbeatable machine that does not lose the race easily. lol, I still respect the engineering excellence of McLaren F1. Bugatti is pretty impressive too. |
