2006-10-04 09:47:00 | $41 is very cheap for a power supply. I would be sceptical about the quality If you are planning on keeping this computer for 3 or 4 years, go for a low end core 2 duo. If you are planning on upgrading again in a couiple of years, go for an Athlon 64 3500+ - it will probably outperform the low end core 2 duos in games that aren't optimised for dual core processors.

2006-10-04 10:25:00 | ^^lol:thumbs: Back to the subject at hand Compliments of PedalSlammer: $579.38 GeForce 7900GT 512MB PCI-Express This graphic is the most important part for game play graphics with high end quality and you can play games in high details without lag especially new games of course it won't last forever. If you want a good graphics I suggest you upgrade it every 1 or 2 years, if not it is still possible to play games but not new games once the card have became old. $390.38 Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 2.13GHz LGA775See my post about Quad Core and does a good CPU can handle good games? Yes? or No? the answer holds there look at quad core cpu performance there Really neccisary? what does it bring to the system -1g? (please excuse no0bness :waughh: ) $123.71 Seagate 250GB 7200rpmThis is HardDiskDrive, which stores game data(Info for gamer) Newer games will have quite a high amount of data, so if the HDD full you can add more data unless you remove it, so I reccommend this minimum amount i.e. Auto Assault will take around 8GB of HDD space but what about other games? Have a though again. $160 -$80 X2 Samsung 512MB DDRII-533 PC4200 Memory X2 Means 2=1GB Memory --> How much more $ for more Ram? say 2x1024 possible?Yes, it also depends how much RAM can your MOBO support too, RandomAccessMemory are very expensive if you havn't notice, 1GB is enough for games but more for high end applications $155.00 Asustek P5LD2-VM, Intel 945G, Core 2 support $59.34 LiteOn SOHW-1635S 16X Dual layer $40.85 EXCEL 400W PSU 400W POWER SUPPLY ATX Remember a good power supply will cost more. AcBel is quite good but cost around $66.00 for 400W the cheapest, but it also depends what hardware you use i.e. 7900GT graphics will suck up more power. I would reccommend you a AcBel 500W PSU but will cost around $150-$160. $152.55 c1com.co.nz Nice looking caseThis is just a case, it depends on the design and price for different people Thanks again for all your help:o I hope that'll help you.

2006-10-04 10:32:00 | $40.85 EXCEL 400W PSU 400W POWER SUPPLY ATX ???? that power supply would have about.....10A on the 12 Volt rail. in other words, it so **** that it would struggle to power the HDD LED... if your wanting to run a 7900GT, a D/C CPU of some sort, and 1 - 2GIGs of RAM, your going to need a Enermax 485w Noise taker, or an AcBell, at least.

2006-10-04 11:24:00 | why do you have to sound so cheap PedalSlammer ? . As requested by a previous Member, im going to request that you stop giving advic eon Hardware . Yes, it also depends how much RAM can your MOBO support too, RandomAccessMemory are very expensive if you havn't notice, 1GB is enough for games but more for high end applications GAH!, 1GB is not enough for games, try running BF2 at a decent resolution with 1GB RAM . its not what i would call a memorable gaming experience . See my post about Quad Core and does a good CPU can handle good games? Yes? or No? the answer holds there look at quad core cpu performance there Yes, thats like saying, Can a good Car handle a good Road . . . Yes, it can, which is why i want to sell you this supersonic jet where you dont even need a road . $160 -$80 X2 Samsung 512MB DDRII-533 Stop recomending ****ty hardware . $59 . 34 LiteOn SOHW-1635S 16X Dual layer Stop reccomending ****ty hardware at stupid prices, where that if you bought it, and had a problem with it, the seller would flick you the bird if you ever tried to get a warranty on it .

Stop reccomending ****ty hardware at stupid prices, where that if you bought it, and had a problem with it, the seller would flick you the bird if you ever tried to get a warranty on it . The problem is his budget of $2000 and it is not enough . Brand and quality is important . That's why I say whether he go fancy or no fancy . Have you notice my first gaming PC advice for about $2000 of my budget but it is just not enough so my new budget for a PC is around $3000-$3500 . Of course you'll see huge different with the $3000 PC and $2000 PC Let's said the $3500 PC is loaded with this part: $568 . 63 Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2 . 4GHz LGA775 $289 . 89 Seagate 400GB 7200rpm Serial ATA X2 $445 . 95 Kingston VALUERAM DDR 2GB PC3200 DUAL CHANNEL 2x1GB DDR 400MHZ CL3 $837 . 56 GeForce 7900 GTX 512MB, PCI-Express $488 . 10 Asustek P5W DH Deluxe Intel 975X Core 2 Duo ATX $488 . 14 Viewsonic VX724 17" DVI 4MS $312 . 55 Plextor PX-760SA 18x DVDRW Serial ATA $249 . 85 Thermaltake SHARK VA7000SWA SILVER NO PSU SILVER COLOUR FULL TOWER ATX $150 . 00 500w AcBel Power Supply 120mm Blue LED Fan 20/24 Pin Connector Intelligent EPSV2 . 1 ATX $109 . 00 Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Comfort Edition lol . The total cost for this computer is about $3897 . 52 including GST . lol . Double the cost mate . To UShudQuack2, You don't need to follow this as an example of expensive and powerful PC . I know it is very difficult for a budget about $2000 but it is OK to run an OK PC gaming machine . I've face people even poorer, but can play some PC in low details . Of course not everyone is rich in the world, if every rich in the world who will ever get to work? No one . My suggestion is you can buy China made products but remember about their brand e . g . ViewSonic, AcBel, Kingston RAMs, ASUS Graphics Card and MOBO . They're all made with quality but higher price . The reason here is I didn't want to force you into luxury or extreme items, most people buy branded goods because of peer preasure and reputation i . e . peer preasure from this forum to get a good brand product . You don't need to force yourself to get an extra $2000 loan for a good PC but it is just OK to run games . Because of peer preasure and reputation some people get a huge debt ended up as a bankrupcy filer and you don't have to be one of them . Kindly Regards PedalSlammer . |
