488802 2006-10-05 01:46:00 I agree with kjaada. If you can't figure it out with the advice given, or with the help files in the software, then it is too much to ask someone to take you by the hand through all the steps.

This is from the help files in Paint:
"To copy color from one area or object to another
In the toolbox, click Pick Color .
Click the area containing the color you want to copy.
In the toolbox, click Fill With Color .
Click the object or area where you want the new color. "
Icons to click are included in the original instructions.

Did you read them? It tells you how to use the eyedropper tool and fill in the unwanted letters. From there, it is a simple matter of using the text tool in whatever program to create the words. Experiment!

488803 2006-10-05 03:05:00 i've read all of you guys posts and i could findly do it myself. so thanks heaps for the guys who helped out. but i just have one more problem, how do you write text over an existing background, without having to use the pick colour function. i want to do so without going throught this process of deleting and re-deleting.thanks jayzhou23 (11235)
488804 2006-10-05 03:40:00 One more try:
You pick the colour.
Paint over the existing text.
Then in paint there is a provision to write text, click that and put the
text box over the place you have just painted over and write your new
text then save and all is done.
There is NO delete and other things it is all done there and then.
As i said before,"I did what you want to do in about 30 seconds"
Try it and read the tutorial. If you can not do this simple job you should
look at a job in government as an alternative.

488806 2006-10-05 08:32:00 anyone guys.thanks jayzhou23 (11235)
488807 2006-10-05 09:17:00 jay*. Why on earth would you want to modify that crappy thing? Get yourself some clouds - just put "cloud pictures" in to Google - even use some cloud-like call-outs from Word's drawing toolbar and then set up suitable text. Scouse (83)

Sadly Jay, I think you have reached the limits of your ability and the programs you have to hand. If you can't do it with all the help you've had, maybe it's time to give up.

You can do pretty much all you want in Paint by following the instructions you already have, but you'll need to enlarge the image to allow you to work with precision, then shrink it again when finished. Use the stretch feature in Paint and just enter the percentage increase or decrease you want.

You'd be best to type "Jay Zhu you're the best" as well. You're is the correct contraction for "you are", not your.

Cheers

488810 2006-10-05 17:20:00 That sample is a bit more complicated but can be done:I no longer have access
to MS paint but I did it with Gimp no problem.I think you are asking a bit much
to get a step by step from anyone in language that you could follow. There are all sorts of side issues that crop up and would need to be explained also.
