| 488538 | 2006-10-02 01:30:00 | These 3 XP computers (A, B, and C) are networked through an ADSL 4-port router. They can share Internet and files without any problem. Now, is it possible to add a password, say, if A wants to access B, A has to key in a Password in order to read /share the folders/files? Similarly, if B wishes to access A , he also requires a password, etc. Can XP be configured in this manner? Cheers |

| 488542 | 2006-10-02 03:48:00 | I would say u wld need to put usernames / passwords on all 3 to log into XP. I would also say that this would only work properly, if all 3 have XP Pro not Home on them. |

As Speedy said, depends if you have Home or pro, but apparently there is a workaround for Home, haven't tried it as I have Pro www.wikihow.com I particularly like step 7 in the instructions |
