2006-10-03 22:48:00 | Unfortunately, PC World's ace designer is leaving us. We're looking to hire a replacement, and the following ad will be placed around the traps shortly: Magazine designer NZ PC World — New Zealand's only PC title and the country's best-read technology magazine — is looking for a designer. The successful applicant will be able to creatively collaborate with editorial; manage photographers, graphic artists and other outside contractors; liaise with our production department to assist with workflow; and will possess a proven ability to meet deadlines in a team-based environment. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop are essential, and online publishing skills an advantage. NZ PC World is already New Zealand's best-read computer or internet magazine, and pcworld.co.nz the most-trafficked personal computing site. If you're a highly motivated, creative individual who can help take us higher, email your CV, including examples from your folio, to PC World Editor/Associate Publisher Chris Keall, chris_keall@fairfaxbm.co.nz. NZ PC World is published by Fairfax Business Media, Australasia's leading publisher of business and technology titles.

2006-10-03 22:55:00 | I bet Shortcircuit (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) would be more than qualified, if he was looking. | Greg (193) | |
2006-10-03 22:56:00 | If you add furious eating of pies, drinking coffee and playing racing car games to the list then I'll send in my resume. Oh yeah, I cant do any of the other required skills, But I can delegate like a champion. Will need an assitant who already has the required skills, must be hardworking,able to cook and clean and she must be blond and damn sexy, or have a sister who is.

2006-10-03 23:07:00 | I'm blond, resume on the way. I might even offer Metla a job as the Boss Man seeing as he can do furious things with meat pies :D

2006-10-04 00:18:00 | It'd be cool for the subscribers to know when the first mag transition takes place. Not to razz the new incumbent of course, but for those of us too slow to differentiate between the styles. I think PF1 users should start a "Guess Which Month the New Guy Took Over" contest :D

2006-10-04 03:50:00 | You will be able to tell as it will have a centrefold of a suitably photogenic blond wearing a rugby jersey reclining in a laziboy, wearing pink fluffy slippers and eating a meat pie while multitasking playing Doom and txting her gal pals.... shouldn't be hard to spot... and can't wait until Metla takes over. | Shortcircuit (1666) | |
2006-10-04 03:55:00 | Heh?.........why would you put a Lazyboy in the Kitchen? She can stand at the sink like all good kiwi women, That way she is within reach of the fridge, oven, cleaning products etc.
Metla (12) | ||
2006-10-04 05:01:00 | OMG metla, that's a bit unkind keeping her cooped up in the kitchen. How would she get time to do reviews on Wireless Knitworking, Laptop Dancing and destruction testing the pink Razr? Around our place the comment has been heard: "The lazy boy is in the lounge... watching TV". :dogeye:

2006-10-04 06:17:00 | Lmao, Did I ever mention that hundreds of people (out in the real world) know me as The F.I.B. Stands for Fat Idle Bastard. Quite proud of that.
