If the ram fits, then put it in. If it's slower than your new ram it will slow all your ram to it;s speed. |

| 489436 | 2006-10-11 01:12:00 | It may or may not work, but even if it does it might not be good for it... If the old ram you kept is slower, you might as well sell it, and use the money to either buy new ram if you really want 3 gigs or just have 2 gig and a better video card. |

| 489442 | 2006-10-11 07:44:00 | so i could have it on absolute max but have it running like a dog but that wouldnt matter? it is running at 1024x768 32bit colour. i know higher is better, but i use dual screens and like things to stay put so i can see if any of my components are about to burn out, and i put xfire on the other monitor also. i'm not saying a 7800gt is bad, i'm saying that graphics are not neccessary to enjoy a game. it is, and should be gameplay if you are going to play it more than once. sure, lag ruins a game, but a lower mid or upper low level card will run fine at lower settings... i'll start a new thread... |
