489531 2006-10-07 04:11:00 I had the same issue so just downloaded newer firmware off the D-Link site.

Edit: Used this firmware (ftp://files.dlink.com.au/products/DSL-302G_NZ/REV_C/Firmware//Firmware_R2.01M.B3NZ/TEImage.bin) (site here (www.dlink.com.au))

489532 2006-10-07 06:28:00 What do I do with the .bin file?
It won't mount with Daemon or Magic ISO...

489533 2006-10-07 08:30:00 It is not supposed to be mounted...

Go into the Modems config, go into advanced user mode, open up admin and then image upgrade, not hard...

489534 2006-10-10 03:43:00 Thats firmware upgrade fuc*ed up the router.
It was a generic update and the NZ routers don't allow generic ones. They only allow ones from xtra website. I had to get a whole new modem...

489535 2006-10-10 04:39:00 Ratties for you. Worked fine on mine, mine was an Xtra one. roddy_boy (4115)
489536 2006-10-11 00:06:00 I have forwarded all the ports so that ZA will allow them.
But I still get "Entry already exists" in the telnet thing.
But when I check if the port is forwarded...It's not.
Any suggestions?

Fish I believe you have several problems unfortunately (in fact its kinda like my worst nightmare setup).

1. Loose Zone Alarm, it is HOPELESS for P2P. I have tested many versions of ZA over the years and it always fails to port forward properly and in fact there are no manual port forward settings to configure. At the VERY least un-install it completely while you play with your port forwards. It is highly recommended NOT use ZA in nearly all the P2P forums and for good reason.

2. I had the same modem given to me by Xtra and it never port forwarded correctly, tried everything. There is a number of threads in the Whirlpool forums about this modem, a factory firmware flash "may" fix this, although didn't for me. Other modems I have set up have no problems.

3. If you are using public torrent sites easily found with Goolge, do not expect your speeds to go much over 30KB/s. Many people don't understand the difference between Public and private trackers and pay attention to people boasting private tracker speeds.

P.S changing your torrent client as suggested will not help you.

489537 2006-10-11 00:20:00 Master Frost - The way I specifyed above always worked for me.

Not always, I have had a fair few public trackers that have maxed out my connection (2Mb)

I also agree, there is not need to change from uTorrent, I believe uTorrent is the best client

489538 2006-10-11 03:31:00 I now have a DSL D-Link 502T
It is easy to port forward in it :D
All set up in uTorrent using port 50123
And master frost where do I find torrents with "private tracker" speeds?
Fishy (10540)
489539 2006-10-11 05:18:00 You have to join a site to get access to the private trackers, but then you have to keep a high upload ratio, no download then delete torrent. The_End_Of_Reality (334)
