489299 2006-10-05 06:48:00 Hi,
After the warm fuzzies of Belarc Advisor atributes- I see in my hardcpoy two or three titles :-
Windows media Player 10 and Windows media Player 9---plus just Windows Media Player.
Question:- can I delete the last two ,sic., player 9 and windows player- in other words is one needed to run the other?

489300 2006-10-05 07:08:00 Hi,
Im not sure about WMP but you usualy need to keep all entrys as the newer ones are often upgrades of the older ones and uninstalling the old ones break the program.

489301 2006-10-05 07:14:00 What do you see if you click START, CONTROL PANEL, ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS? Do you see an option to delete any of these versions?

What do you see if you click START, ALL PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES, ENTERTAINMENT?

What do you see if you click on the version of Windows Media Player that you have a shortcut for then click Help, About? Which version are you actually running?

I assume version 10 works. Don't upgrade to 11 unless you feel you have to!!! :-)
