| 490122 | 2006-10-08 11:29:00 | Hi all, I have a small problem with a Dynalink RTA1320 DSL modem/router that was given to me by a friend. I have a small home network (4 machines) that I have previously been running with a USB DSL modem connected to a PC (XP) with ICS enabled and sharing video & music files to the other PCs (all XP) on the network. All were on the same workgroup. I have disconnected the USB modem, connected the RTA1320 and been able to connect to the internet on all machines, access the router management pages via http, and can even see each PC through 'view workgroup computers', but I cannot access any shared folders or even ping the other PCs. I am wondering if the default domain name on the RTA1320 (which is "home"), is affecting the workgroup (which is a different name). Do I need to change the domain on the RTA1320? Is there some firewall rule I may need to change? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks, RoyJ |
