489922 2006-10-07 20:32:00 Hi, Welcome to PressF1 :)

You don't mention what brand/model of scanner, but this information is interesting: HP All-in-One Products - Resolving the Error Message 'Class Installer Has Denied the Request to Install or Update the Driver' (h10025.www1.hp.com)

Have you scanned for viruses using an updated Antivirus program?

489926 2006-10-07 22:30:00 Whatever you've got thats Mcafees, does it include a firewall?

If it does, uninstall it or Symantec's firewall. You dont need 2 firewalls, they'll conflict.

And if NOD32, and Mcafees scan email, I would disable email scanning for one of these 2 or disable Symantec's email scanning.

You shouldnt have 3 different AV programs scanning email at the same time.
(Thats if all 3 have the option to scan email for malware/viruses etc).

I would run HJT again (close browsers), tick these entries and tick fix checked.

489928 2006-10-07 22:49:00 If that doesnt work , get Spybot (www.spybot.info)

The main program and the detection updates. Install both then do a scan.

See what that finds.
