489901	2006-10-07 19:02:00	This one has been asked before, but cannot find it with Search. My wifey's pc boots up with the normal boot sequence, A: C:, but then it keeps looking at the A:, sounds like a "machine gun" for a long spell. BIOS shows boot sequence A,C. Boot Up Floppy Seek: Enabled Should the latter be Disabled? Thanks for any help. Lurking	Lurking (218)

489904	2006-10-07 21:28:00	the noise is simply the bios looking for a disk in the floppy drive. check you don't have a disk in it. simply change the boot order so c drive is first.	tweak'e (69)

489907	2006-10-13 23:59:00	Change the boot disk to c and disable floppy seek. And it has something to do with it trying to find a disk that isnt in the floppy. Put a floppy in then and see if it makes that noise. It wont.	Speedy Gonzales (78)
