| 489880 | 2006-10-07 09:53:00 | Hey All. having a slight issue with my new rig. amongst the numerous other issues i had but have had them solved. Ok, if my PC is left off for a decent amount of time, Say, through the night, and turn it on in the morning, or turn it on when i come home from work, it will have a hissy fit of Reboots before i even get a signal on the screen, how do i know its resetting ?, becuase it gives off 2 clicks when the machine starts, and the usual flicking light on the optical drive, after its finished its spazz of restarts, it decides to boot, and more often than not gives me a POST error going something like this: "WARNING CPU Frequency has been reset, please choose one of the options to continue 1. Choose 5 last working settings 2. Choose Defaults 3. Choose last known good configuration (but in much crappier english, and with a couple more options that i can't recall) also, whenever i try to install and reboot with AMD's Dual Core optimiser it will give me a nice shiny BSOD, and have to reboot to safe mode to manually delete it. is this a sign of a dirty motherboard ?, that when it boots, it wipes its BIOS settings, and boots again ? as i replied in another post, i have had an issue with some dirty "PNY" DDR2 RAM which caused system reboots when in game, and dirty textures that wern't rendering. System Specs are in my Sig, apart from the CPU, im still waiting for it to arrive, currently using an AMD 4200 D/C AM2. Cheers Guys :) oh, and my PSU is an Enermax 500W Liberty with Twin 12v rails totaling in 44Amps. |

| 489885 | 2006-10-11 05:48:00 | Have u reset the BIOS to its default settings? And reconfigured the settings? Does the mobo have a 4 pin 12v socket on it. Is the plug from the PSU plugged into it, if there is? |

Is the plug from the PSU plugged into it, if there is? yeah, was suggested to do this from the shop. didnt work. Mobo has 2x4Pin plugs, and both are connected, as is a 12v Molex plug to provide extra power for the PCIe x 16 slot |

| 489887 | 2006-10-11 06:05:00 | Does the BIOS show the right settings for your CPU so that its speed is detected correctly? The CPU has worked fine in another board prior to this? No damage when inserting into the new board? |

| 489888 | 2006-10-11 06:16:00 | Whats does the BSOD say?? It may give us a clue on whats causing it . I wouldnt be surprised if its the drivers, the latest Nvidia drivers if theyre the latest drivers are crap . They kept crashing the other PC when I had them installed . Until I replaced the vidcard with an ATI card . And it hasnt crashed yet . Altho, the CPU frequency prob didnt happen on the other PC here . |

No damage when inserting into the new board? in terms of the CPU frequency, the mobo wont tell me what its currently on, just lets me change it, or set it to "auto".... the CPU was brand new, out of the box, and i ran into no complications when i installed it. Cheers. |
