| 489744 | 2006-10-07 04:42:00 | my PC has had problems starting a few months ago, random re-boots. over the last month it has become more common, 3 or more re-boots a week. the stop messages pointed to bad RAM so i went in to swap out the RAM. when i had the case open i spotted that about 5 capacitors near the CPU had a crud on them that has leeked out. this is an older athlon 1.6 system , my solution is to upgrade to a new system. problem is i dont have the $$ for this right now. I cant go with out a working system too much. what can I do to reduce the system crashes?? I just need a few more months out of the system. |

| 489748 | 2006-10-07 05:38:00 | Good question. You would have to do a search in google or yahoo, to find out who still stocks Socket A. Looks like this site (www.pp.co.nz) sells them, but not much of them left. Looks like this mobo (www.pp.co.nz) is the only one thats ticked Ah u found the same site I did. |
