| 489660 | 2006-10-06 20:49:00 | Hi I have installed XP professional on top of my XP home edition on y PC. While instlling the existing internet connection is OK, it checked the microsoft website, and, after the installation completed, I wanted to connect the internet to update windows, and the error is "phone line is busy, try later", I have checked everything and have removed the old dialup connection and set up a new dialup connection, but the same problem. Please help me with your expertise. Thanks in advance. |

Have you checked you have plugged the phone line into the correct port on the back of the computer? Some fax/phone modems have two sockets that would fit a phone line plug, so make sure it is in the line in socket. |

While installing the XP professional, once it was connected for verification with microsoft website and after the final installation, the error comes. I have reistalled again, the same problem, "phone line is busy". Thanks for your advise. |
