| 490656 | 2006-10-11 04:42:00 | Ok .. its taken me about 3 months to find a program that I can easily use to get a specific it on my site. I want 4 or 5 pictures changing, like a slide show, though I understand it has to be a swf file. I used a program called advanced effect maker .. its produced exactly what I want .. though when I put it into frontpage, and preview it in web browser it only shows up black. There is an added notation there about including the imagefade.swf file in the web server. I suspect that is my problem, if it is .. I need clear explanation as to how to do this step pse :waughh: We dont grow up: we learn how to behave in public  |

Check out a script site. Whoops! I just reread and misunderstood, you want a slideshow system on ONE page. Try lightbox, google (www.google.com) there are neat things it does like that. |

It should be placed in the exact same location as the HTML file in which you paste these HTML tags. There is a file under that name .. when I open it .. it is the swf itself .. all the pics etc .. I figure I have to copy that file somewhere .. however .. in the web server .. doesnt help me .. does that mean to the web project itself ? BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH |

The web hosting provider should be able to help you get that set up, unless it is a budget priced one who doesn't have any web design knowledge. |

| 490663 | 2006-10-11 09:55:00 | Have you uploaded all the files, the html and the swf? You would put this the same place as your html files or where you loaded it from in your code. Do you have any link to the site? |

| 490664 | 2006-10-11 20:19:00 | Like a slideshow, basically is this an image rotation where user is required to click to proceed to the next image. Or would it be image rotation without user intervention using like a marquee effect? Either way, both are possible using Javascript, that would be the better choice if you don't want users to require the plugin for swf. You could also do the click method using server-side or even just plain HTML markup. 3 months to discover this type of script is a long time, and I know there's many already similar working scripts out there. Cheers, KK |
