| 490650 | 2006-10-10 22:34:00 | I have a faulty pc that blue screens on the loading windows xp, i want to know if the ram could be faulty. i've done a google search and found a couple of free memory testers that run from dos but i dont know if they're actually any good. From experience does anyone know of any good mem testing software that could help me? Thanks very much :) |

Be aware that the RAM has a small chance of being the cause even if Memtest isn't detecting it as faulty. |

If you set it to 10 cycles it will run all night. It is DOS-based so you need to run it from the command prompt startup option. I think it is still downloadable. | Robin S_ (86) | ||
