490605 2006-10-10 21:19:00 This problem has been vexing me for nearly two days now . . .

I have a (relatively) large document, and on one page I have a series of text boxes with contact details for various people in the organisation . However, in one of the text boxes, the text is visible on screen, is visble in print preview, but won't show up in the printout .

I've tried:

Re-creating the text box
Re-entering the text
Re-creating the text box and then re-entering the text
Copying a text box that is printing, and modifying the details to match the faulty text box
Selecting/unselecting "hidden text" in Format/Font
Printing on a different printer (3, to be precise)

Making this even stranger, is that when I move a text box that is printing into the space that was occupied by the faulty text box, it prints fine - but the text box I create in the space previously occupied by the working text box won't print out .

If I fill the text box with a background colour, that prints out - it's just text that doesn't print out .

Can anyone offer any advice, before I make the fatal leap and introduce my computer to a nice relaxing hot bath . . .

I forget which menu its on - search the Help in Word - it will tell you.

Gave it a try just now - no luck. I tried both Bring to Front and Bring in Front of Text, but neither worked.

Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Any others?

490608 2006-10-11 02:35:00 It should.

Suggestion One:
Kill the text boxes and use a border instead.

Suggestion Two:
Use a real desktop publishing program and import your text from Word into it. ITs much better at that sort of thing.

Don't use a text box at all.

490610 2006-10-11 04:14:00 I've been caught out with the Track Changes option doing funky things to my print outs in a similar manner. Try accepting "all changes" in the Track Changes options. Jen (38)
