2006-10-10 01:32:00 | My broadband internet connection has been very slow lately. If i run the speed test at here (www.jetstreamgames.co.nz) or here (www.nzdsl.co.nz) my download speed is "0" and upload is normal at about 132kbps (16.5KB). When i turn off Zonealarm then my download speed is 270kbps (33.8KB) & upload speed 132kbps (16.5KB). Anyone know why this is happening and if i can rectify it? Thanks, Brian.

2006-10-10 03:10:00 | Not that i can think of. I was just using limewire and getting 32KB download speeds. Thats with ZA enabled of course. What part of ZA could cause this? Ie; program control/Firewall/Anti Spyware... Oh yeah, I'm using ZA pro.

2006-10-10 03:44:00 | I have recently dumped ZA for Comodo (http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/) | KiwiTT_NZ (233) | |
2006-10-10 03:47:00 | It happens to me too. It's not making your internet slow, it's blocking the test. | Fishy (10540) | |

2006-10-10 16:15:00 | I was using ZoneAlarm Security Suit for a while, but I had the same problems, things running snail-like slooow, now I dumped it for Avast, and things have speeded up to no end. I found ZA to be very Power Hungry.

2006-10-10 21:35:00 | I have recently dumped ZA for Comodo (http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/) How have you found it? Are you happy with it.

2006-10-10 21:53:00 | It happens to me too. It's not making your internet slow, it's blocking the test. That seems to be the case because i'm getting good speeds when using limewire and my downloadmanager.
