490551 2006-10-12 12:56:00 I would recommend to learn dvorak if possible, however if you ever plan on using someone elses pc you better learn to touch type dvorak because else the letters will all be in the wrong place.

heres a wikipedia article on dvorak for those interested.

490552 2006-10-12 16:24:00 I used Mavis Bacon, and I can say with no worry that I have now added another finger to my typing skills . . . . using my left index and middle finger now with my right middle and (sometimes) my right thumb .

I type well enough . . . . . and a lot faster than my "touch-typist-trained" wife by about 3:1 wpm .

The REAL problem would be if the imprinted letters wore off the keys . . . I'd go typing-mute . I do not type in the dark .

Voice recognition anybody?

490553 2006-10-12 17:59:00 Hello to you all

Once more has PF1 been a very good help.
I will show the posts to my teenager and see what he takes of the advice.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks a lot
