Can I still get my cash back? I mean I don't really know about how the fair trade act works. gigabyte and asus are both very good brands my old gecube had no problems galaxy is not very good basically you get what you pay for (generally) What about Nvidia graphics card? Like 7900GTX? Do they crash? I mean from ASUS. |

I just phone up just now to PCSale Online, they said they're going to refund full amount if the card is faulty but if not they'll charged me for $30.:groan: What am I going to do? The screen just go off in around half an hour and if they test if for 15mins that means they gonna run away. Can anyone check my specs whether is this card GeCube ATi Randeon 9600 Pro 256MB is compatible with my computer specs? I checked that on the internet is OK but I don't really know how do you guys check it. Now for the final test I'll use my old PC and test. Thanks PedalSlammer. |

I mean I don't really know about how the fair trade act works. basically, if you are sold faulty goods by a retailer, they must refund you upon return of faulty item. but of course if it is not faulty they may charge you a fee for the testing of said item What about Nvidia graphics card? Like 7900GTX? Do they crash? I mean from ASUS. nVidia is the company that designs & makes the GeForce cards (like the 7900GTX), gigabyte, asus etc just rebrand them and sell them with a suitable cooling system and certain colour plastic. asus i know offers some slightly overclocked models also. ATi designs & makes the Radeon cards (like your 9550). again companies like gecube resell them. really the only difference is the quality/effectiveness of the heatsink/cooling system (some galaxy ones have been known to have the fans drop off), the price (usually indicative of which brand is better), the warranty (if any) and the driver/support. nVidia and ATi both release standard drivers, but brands like asus also release their own, which may be further optimised, but again may be worse. Asus also has free software for use with their cards to overclock/troubleshoot etc. and yes my card is an asus one, but i'm not biased; it has been very good to me, and i won't comment on other brands i have not used. it is similar to choosing which shop to use: super cheap offers virtually no service and are right pricks about returns/refunds but offer lowest prices in most areas. c1 shoppingmal, pc lounge, madkiwi etc charge slightly more, but offer far superior service. so (and all this is from experience) basically, you usually get what you pay for |

| 490300 | 2006-10-13 06:41:00 | Weird, my 4 yrs old PC runs fine with that 9600 Pro Card Old PC Spec Auriga 300W PSU ASUS P4S333 512MB RAM ASUS CD Reader + Richo DVD Writer 1.6Ghz Intel P4 Processor And with this GeCube 9600 Pro 256MB runs fine with it but not the one with HT. Which makes the monitor blank after a few moments. :waughh: Damn, my money. Any idea why it works fine with the old PC? |

| 490301 | 2006-10-13 07:27:00 | Any idea why it works fine with the old PC? Well, it could very well be that there is nothing wrong with the card at all (especially if it runs OK in another computer) so it may be that there is something wrong elsewhere in your computer or its set up, or the new card is incompatible with your hardware . You are not going to get a refund if there is nothing wrong with the card because they are not responsible for your hardware or its configuration, so if I were you I'd do some further and deeper investigating and maybe get some more advice . If necessary take it to a computer shop, if you don't have the skills yourself, and ask them to check the setup . One thing is for sure, PC Sale don't have to refund your money if there is nothing wrong with the card, and it is an odds-on bet that it will work fine in their rig too . So, as they have already told you, they'll charge you $30 for testing it and probably hit you with the return freight charge as well . Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 490302 | 2006-10-13 11:00:00 | could you post your good pc specs, and be somewhat precise too (it helps). then could you check google for known incompatibity issues with your pc hardware configuration. (i will too) does it crash if you leave it on the desktop or if you run a program, if so which program. does it do it in safe mode? any other hardware changes recently? does another card die in your good rig? and as billy said, pcsale are not liable for you ordering incompatible equipment. |

| 490303 | 2006-10-13 20:48:00 | My old specs is already posted and the new computer specs as well. My parents computer P4 with HT is kinda fussy with the hardware for example it didn't like the Hynix Ram at all [Totally Won't Boot Up], and didn't like the GeCube Graphics card much except it likes the branded product a lot. My old PC which accepts any brand product both use ASUS MOBO too. Look at the specs that I've posted up there or somewhere in this fourm. |
