| 1407967 | 2015-09-05 04:53:00 | For several months now my VDSL has dropped right down, even off every night between 11pm and 1am for 30 minutes to 1 hour. The rest of the time it is good and steady. This happens in Windows and Linux. Any ideas? It is not the ISP (Actrix), they always notify me when server maintenance is scheduled. |

Given the time frame the VDSL is out for I'm thinking no but it's worth looking into. Have you perhaps tried another modem? It is not the ISP (Actrix), they always notify me when server maintenance is scheduled. Just becuse you don't get a notification doesn't mean there wasn't a service outage, ISP's will only send out an email if they know about a planned piece of work... if it is unplanned they're unlikely to send an email especially if they know users will not be able to access email in the first place or if it is late at night. |

It happens every night, the modem is a DrayTek Vigor DV130 connected to a Linksys wireless router. |

| 1407971 | 2015-09-06 06:21:00 | I had the same thing happen to me, but it occurred at some point between 6:30PM and 9PM, and it would last for between 30-90 minutes each time. Check the router when it happens, does it lose DSL sync? (I'm gonna take an educated guess and say yes). If it does, get your ISP to monitor the line for 24 hours, they should see it occur. From there, you can get them to lodge a fault with the information and they can go to Chorus with it. In the end, Chorus ended up swapping the pairs that I was on from the roadside to my Demarc point, that ended up fixing it for me, YMMV. |

| 1407972 | 2015-09-07 05:37:00 | Night before last there was a 77Mb upload and last night 42Mb upload. No uploads were made from the computers, only one was turned on watching You Tube. From tonight I will switch off the modem at bed time, see what happens. |

It uses a per to per style network to deliver, even if you don't have W10 installed the installation folder on the C drive will still be active. Microsoft are using peoples computers as P2P, to push out W10. |
